Heart to Heart Foundation-Touching Lives

Excellent work with tremendous and lasting impact to the community, especially the poor and vulnerable.
I am so proud to be associated with the program as a volunteer. The staff and the kids really gave me a warm reception and I felt like part of the team there. There is a lot being done to change the lives of the children but I feel with more partnerships and support the impact will be even greater. A lot was learnt and it opened my eyes to the suffering of the poor and vulnerable, especially children. Kudos n keep up the good work!

Heart to Heart Foundation - School Program

I got a chance to visit the facility, and I must say I was really impressed by the impact this Program has been able to the community.
Vulnerable children get to access knowledge, access to quality meals and proper child care.
I commend the social work of all staff who work and volunteer at the facility.
The children looked well taken care of and it made them have a feeling of belonging in the community. Something keen I picked up was the way talents are nurtered and grown. We are having future leaders in sports and entertainment industry ahead of us.
Keep up!!

What was your funniest moment?
Playing hide and seek with the kids.

They got me all rounds.
Pros
  • Positive Impact to the Community.
Cons
  • Sad to see some unhappy faces of kids coming from tough backgrounds

Best Organization to volunteer Ever!

Heart to Heart Orphans Children Centre is a beacon of hope and compassion in the Kenyan slums, tirelessly working to uplift the lives of vulnerable children and orphans. This remarkable organization goes above and beyond to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children who have faced unimaginable hardships. The Centre offers not only basic necessities such as food, clothing, and shelter but also emphasizes education, healthcare, and emotional support, which are crucial for the holistic development of these young lives.
I had an amazing and memorable experience with Heart to Heart Orphans Children Centre. I was able to interact directly with the needy and vulnerable and offered my expertise. I felt my presence and service to the organisation was very much appreciated. I would recommend the organisation to anyone and anytime. And I will offer my services anytime and any time if am available. It is great!!!

Pros
  • Interaction with the vulnerable
  • Firsthand Experience
  • Great Learning Experience
Cons
  • Many needs from the vulnerable that need to be covered

Volunteering

I have just learned a lot while volunteering in heart to heart Orphans Children Center. As a volunteer I have an opportunity to share my knowledge and skills towards the growth of the organization. What I can say is that the organization offers serenity for one to volunteer. I also had an opportunity to visit different slums in Kenya and interact with vulnerable and Orphans.Kids there are so friendly and cooperated when instructing them on what to do. I can say that I am looking forward to come back simply because it was fun. The organization took me to visit Masai Mara national park and Nairobi national park where I got a chance to witness lion chasing antelope, I also saw buffalo and other domestic animals. We also visited Kenyan coast to enjoy the sand dunes etc and this was nice and fun.

What was the most surprising thing you saw or did?
I was surprised to see kids in the slums happy despite challenge which they were facing. I was also surprised with the warm reception from the organization.
Pros
  • Learned new things
  • Friendly environment
  • Got certification for volunteering
Cons
  • Children in the slums require our support
  • School fees is a problem to some
  • The organization needs a lot of support in terms of resources
