Can't go wrong with Matt

I got to know Matt really well in 2013 when he taught me and my siblings in a 'roam-school' year (traveling homeschool). He taught us history and english, and also stressed the importance of current events. He is extremely relatable, easy to work with/get along with, and also has a great sense of humor. When I heard that he was leading a gap year program I couldn't help but be excited. I want everyone who reads this to know just how great Matt is and how much you will learn while also having an amazing time in the process. Matt is the greatest, and if you get a chance to go on this trip with him you 100% should! Matt is a great teacher, but he's a better friend and I've enjoyed staying in touch with him in the years after being taught by him.

Also if you enjoy talking sports, he's your guy.

You're In Good Hands

We have worked with Matthew extensively on projects in Spanish speaking countries, and he has made each program better with his influence. He has an uncanny ability to connect with the local community and open up doors to create an unforgettable experience.

His passion and personal connection to his gap year is contagious, having participated in a similar program after his high school graduation. You will see that passion in each of his programs. This program in Colombia is a fabulous bridge between his personal passion and the passion the people of Colombia, and after completion you will undoubtably see and feel personal growth. Without a doubt, this will be a life changing experience from start to finish, and one that will resonate for a lifetime.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Do not be intimidated by Colombia. The nation is proud and enthusiastic, and it's easy to feel at home.
