Gap Semester Program

Fourteen weeks divided in 3 blocks:
- Five weeks in San Jose living with a Costa Rican family and studying Spanish. In the afternoon, you will learn about different topics pertinent to the Central American context. One week is spent in Nicaragua to see first hand the current economic and political conditions there. Also, you will prepare for your internship experience.
- Eight weeks working on an independent internship in the Central Valley of San Jose, to dive into the local culture and contribute to the mission of an organization working on social or environmental goals.
- One week at ICADS to complete written work and oral presentations, while processing your experience (including a reentry workshop).
