Sustainability

At INTRO our commitment to a sustainable future is a key principle, and the driving force behind our Small Change initiative, which we launched in 2017.

As part of our goal to make a real positive impact to the environment, we partnered with Eden Reforestation Projects in 2019 to plant 10 trees for every booking we received. And as a result we’ve planted tens of thousands of trees, aided reforestation, rehabilitated wildlife and reduced poverty in multiple local communities.

However we wanted to go even further and achieve true sustainability, so in late 2023 we began a new partnership with Path Net Zero to accurately measure our tours emissions, and Veritree to plant trees to offset those emissions.

We are now very proud to say that every INTRO tour is 100% carbon neutral.

NZ Adventure 17 day tour

Have just finished the 17 day New Zealand North and South tour with Jess Sargent and what an experience. Jess has been the most amazing group leader from day one always making sure that each member of the tour got to experience New Zealand to the fullest! Jess always found a way for us to do any extra activities that we wanted to do so we wouldn't be disappointed. I could not imagine having done this tour with anybody else. Jess is an absolute gem of a person and I am so excited to see what is next for her. Jess really did make this a trip of a lifetime and I am so thankful to have met her. She truly went above and beyond for each and every single person. Thank you with all my heart ❤️

Intro NZ

My Intro travel NZ tour was awesome. Jess was a great team leader! She knew the country, everything organised was seemless and she’s great fun!
The variety of activities was good and the optional extras really packed out the holiday, especially in the North Island!
The south island was a lot of travelling but the views made up for that!
Its definitely a great starter way to see New Zealand and it’s definitely making me want to come back and explore more!
If booking NZ trip and you get Jess as a group leader you’re in for a great trip!

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
Skydiving!

Intro New Zealand

This tour of both North and South islands of New Zealand is very well put together. The Intro leader, Jess Sargent, was very knowledgeable and organised throughout the whole trip. The tour leader can also help you get started up with finding work in New Zealand too, helping with tax numbers and how to look for jobs. The tour hit up the highlights of both islands while allowing for free time to pay for extra activities such as skydiving, bungee jumping etc. All the hostels were clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone coming to New Zealand for the first time.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
If you have the money, sign up to as many of the extra activities as possible.
Pros
  • Great scenery
  • Chance to do extreme activities
  • Stunning location of accomodation
Cons
  • Could spend longer in some places
  • Expensive country
  • Requires lots of bus transport to get around

Brilliant !!

Great staff, great social and great vibes. What else do you want. Great Educational programmes. If you’re a solo traveller or a couple/group there is so much to offer. Plenty of different educational programmes on offer. Staff are very accommodating and listen to exactly what you want out of the courses. I’ve recommended this to several friends of mine and they are in the process of signing up. Why not learn a new skill while you have some free time!? Do it while you can, you won’t regret it. Some of the best memories I’ve made to date

What was your funniest moment?
Spending time with other people in my shoes who don’t speak English. Played sharades to try understand each other ahah.

New Zealand IntroTour

Sean was great and very helpful with future travel plans as well. He got the group talking to eachother which mead everyone feel comfortable with eachother very quickly. It also felt like he was part of the tour as well rather than just supervising us.

The overall tour was good with great activities included, I think it's pretty good value to be honest! I would just prefer to spend less time in Auckland as it wasn't my favourite place. Perhaps we could go to Wellington rather than back to Auckland again. Especially as everyone will land there and may spend a day there before the Tour begins anyway.

What would you improve about this program?
Spent less time I'm Auckland. Maybe go Wellington instead.
Pros
  • Hobbiton
  • Milford Sound
  • Star Gazing

One of the best trips

New Zealand intro tour was a really good trip, really well planned with a fantastic tour leader in Sean whose knowledge of the country and enthusiasm was a highlight of the trip and he will go out of his way to ensure you get the most out of the experience , It’s a good way of meeting new friends if you are a nervous solo traveller or a first time traveller. The trip is well played but I feel like you could visit a few more places on the North Island apart from that all the included excursions were really good.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Just go for it, you maybe nervous to begin with but you will never regret taking that step and going travelling.

New Zealand Adventure 17 day tour

Could not recommend intro more! I did the New Zealand tour and it was the most incredible experience, the tour was filled with so many amazing activities to experience and learn about the culture of New Zealand but also enough down time to do your own thing on some days.

Our group leader was Sean who made the trip run smoothly, was very knowledgeable and able to give us recommendations everywhere we went and made sure everyone had the best time. He made sure to keep us in the loop with what was happening each and every day with a detailed message sent out the night before, was able to answer any questions and went above and beyond to support before, during and after the tour for onwards travel. Booking any additional activities at the beginning of the tour was so easy and straight forward, as a first time solo traveller the company and Sean made me feel at ease and made it the best experience.

Intro travel is the best company I’ve travelled with, such an incredible way to meet new people and see new countries!

Pros
  • Easy way to meet new people
  • Takes the pressure and stress away from visiting a new country and planning everything on your own
  • Knowledgeable group leader
