About Program
Every summer we offer a two-week summer programme that gives ambitious young students aged 13-18 the opportunity to explore one of five career paths, with one of those being an introduction to medicine.
Through both classroom instruction and practical laboratory work, relevant to human biology and medicine, the syllabus is designed to grow students' confidence and knowledge in medical studies. Students will learn the basics of medical science and get the chance to assess whether they would be suited to the exciting and challenging medical sector in the future. There will also be the opportunity for students to try some simple practical procedures.
Topics of study include: Cell structures, Prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, Viruses, Infectious diseases, Enzyme functions, DNA replication, Anatomical dissections, Medical technology.
