About Program
GoBrazil offers a free internship placement at its partner organization, Hippotherapy, in Maceió, Brazil. Hippotherapy is a therapeutic and educational method focusing on the relationship between the patient and the horse.
The internship should be performed at least over a period of 1-3 months (maximum 6 months) and can be started immediately. Upon agreement later entry dates are also possible.
Tasks:
- Assist during the therapeutic session
- Take care of the therapy-horses
- Interact with the patients
- Assist in evaluation and reporting
- Assist in conversations with parents
Requirements:
- Good knowledge of Portuguese (or language course on site)
- Interest and motivation to work with children with disabilities
- Committed, reliable, positive attitude
