The elephant is a sacred animal & a national symbol of Thailand. It is a part of the country history meanwhile holds a special place in the hearts of Thai people. This giant mammal was long ago used in several activities. Domestic elephant might not be. However, wild elephant was threatened with extinction because of deforestation, and destruction of its habitat & natural food. To save this creature, we will work with Phuluang wildlife Sanctuary, Foundation for Nature Conservation& Sustainable Development, and Science Museum in the country. Interested internees & volunteers are invited to participate with the team. They will be professionally experienced in various activities; elephant anatomy and taxidermy, elephant ecosystem study, taxidermy workshop & exhibition, elephant autopsy & examination, tropical forest study, tracking wildlife & elephant, techniques of agro-forestry, and building salt-lick & reforestation to increase elephant's food bank.
