What is your favorite travel memory?

That is a tough one as you have unique experiences in every single place that you visit. If I had to choose, my top three would be:

Exploring the Atacama Desert in Chile by 4x4
Watching the sunset over an active volcano in Vanuatu
Every single part of Australia as it has everything to offer

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

Welcometo.travel has been a challenging but enlightening experience. Having worked a combined 10 years in the backpacker travel industry, my best friend Adam (co-founder) and I have witnessed first hand people's transformation through backpacking.

We've managed to maintain our mindset throughout the years, which is to make sure that everything we offer is of high quality and to give people the best week of their travels.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

The personal positive feedback is always the best. As our tour is the start of many peoples adventures in Australia, we give recommendations tailored to each and every individual on our tour.

So when they land home and we get a thank you message saying that their week with us was the start of a year of adventures that changed their life - that is what really makes what we're doing worthwhile.

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

Welcome to Melbourne! It is the most livable city in the world and offers everything you could ever ask for. The tour provides all the essentials for your time in Australia, whilst having unique life changing experiences - learning to surf, feeding kangaroos, seeing 500 penguins on a beach - that you could only have in Melbourne.

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

We have been where you are right now. We have been the first time travelers, wanting to travel to the other side of the world and not really having any idea of what to expect. Reading blog after blog and asking all of our friends on what to do.

Even now, when I travel to new countries I get that first week travel anxiety, being in a new place, not knowing anyone or where to go.

Welcometo.travel ensures that not only are you getting all these amazing experiences, but also want you to feel comfortable traveling and make friends for for life.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

Staying true to your core beliefs and I genuinely believe that travel is the best education for anyone. I have learnt more about the world and myself than I ever did in a classroom.

We want to make sure that the first week of your travels, is the best week of your travels. So, that you can travel as far and wide as you want to, meet new people from all walks of life, and encourage others to explore the world with you!
