What is your favorite travel memory?

I have travelled to a number of countries around the world, including England, Italy, Spain, Norway, the United States, Hong Kong, and Singapore, amongst others. My favorite city was Athens, Greece, particularly the walk up to the Acropolis. I am an absolute Disney Princess geek, and walking through what may have been a part of Hercules' journey was nothing less of magical!

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

I have become a much more confident person after working for AIP. A lot of working in business development includes outreach and networking, talking to a variety of different people from different cultures, backgrounds, and job positions. I am now able to keep conversations with pretty much everyone I meet (without being awkward!). This is definitely a big achievement for me!

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

I've never actually met any of our alumni in person. Or at least, I never have talked to them long enough to ask what their favorite story was whilst still an applicant in the AIP program. However, it is great to hear of many of our applicants staying on in the country of their internship with AIP to work full time.

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

If I were to apply for the AIP program, I would probably choose the South Korea program. The program has lots to offer, and with loads of applicants looking to intern in Korea, I think having the opportunity to take part in the program alongside a large group of other interns would be lots of fun. The country is also on my list of countries I haven't visited – so that's another motivation!

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

We provide first-class service to our customers, and definitely go above and beyond what is expected from us. We take care of our customers, making sure that they are doing well, are having fun, and are settling in properly to their internship destination. We look after them from their arrival into the country to the last day of their internship.

One particular moment was when one of our on-ground interns was incredibly unhappy with their company, which we were able to resolve pretty much immediately! We worked together, and they are now very happy with their placement with our help.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

Team work. AIP works as a team; we help each other, and strive for the best for our company as a whole. Friendly competition is always healthy, but I think our biggest asset is our family-oriented work culture where we take care of each other and support each other through both successes and failures.
