As a group leader at Intro Travel Sam handles all interpersonal experiences for customers travelling with him throughout Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Japan.

What is your favorite travel memory?

One of my favourite travel memories can be summarised into one town that I frequently would visit, Hoi An. This town is absolutely magical, whenever I take groups there I always show them the best spots for Banh Mi's, Souvenirs and tailored clothes! (With my best friend Mr Xe!) But nothing can ever compare to showing the centre of town to them at night, always guaranteed a few beaming smiles.

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

I feel that with my time at INTRO I have truly grown as an individual, with this job I have developed a whole new area of interpersonal skills conversing with people from all ages, backgrounds and interests. Along with this I have been able to see the world from a completely different angle which has made me step back for a minute to take it all in.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

One of the best stories I've had was from a group member who to this day still wishes he could do the tour all over again with the same group of people and myself as the leader. It's a unique and special feeling that I know I've made someones travel experience that much more amazing. This is highlighted even more whenever I watch their travel videos.

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

If I had to suggest an area to work for at INTRO I would suggest working for our South East Asia team (I worked in Vietnam) as to me I believe that this team looks out for each other through thick and thin and we help each other grow throughout our time in Asia. Its also the best way to experience many of the countries at the same time as they are so close to each other you'll often find yourself helping other leaders in these countries.

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

INTRO stands out to me as a very special travel company because there is a lot more care that goes into our customers well being. We like to have a very personal relationship with our customers rather than just only being the guide, we are also there to be their friend. Also whilst at INTRO the team is always looking for ways for you to develop & improve yourself seeing how you can grow in the company.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

I believe in order to be successful at INTRO you need to be a leading member, always looking for new ways to make our tours more interesting and safe for our customers, along with caring about the overall well being of our customers. Making travel experiences for our customers stand out from anyone else and how amazing they are is key to showing your worth.
