What is your favorite travel memory?
My memories of backpacking across Europe before the pandemic hit were simply unforgettable. It simply felt magical to see the magnificent European sights in person for the first time. I did this as a solo trip so it felt nice to wander freely without having a fixed itinerary. I did not feel lonely at all because staying in hostels allowed me to exchange stories with people from all over the world.
How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?
I have since become more aware of the TEFL teaching industry and the various opportunities that are available to those who are keen to teach English overseas. I have also been exposed to innovative teaching techniques and classroom management practices that can be executed to make learning English more fun for students.
What is the best story you've heard from a return student?
We had a student a few months ago who had moved overseas with her family and was finding it difficult to get a job in her field of work. That led her to give TEFL a try. Once she graduated from our course she determined that there weren't any English language schools in their area, so she decided to create one herself! It's awesome to see the impact our grads are having on their local communities at home and abroad.
