About Program
Over 38 Million Spanish speakers are experiencing healthcare inequality. Students in our program gain invaluable medical Spanish language skills while gaining shadowing and cultural experience. Shadow doctors during the work day, and interact with the medical environment of both Peruvian public and private hospitals. Gain exposure to multiple medical specialties, and the reality of the healthcare system in a South American country. Students leave the program with medical shadowing hours to add to their academic credentials. Former students have shadowed in Pediatrics, Trauma, Emergency, Infectious Diseases, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy, and Dental.
Never taken a Spanish class? Our program is designed to allow students the ability to gain crucial language skills before their shadowing begins maximizing their program.
