Are the internships paid?

I am currently a 3rd year economics student at western looking for an abroad internship to gain experience in the international markets. I just want to know if these interns are paid?
While high in career-related value, all internships are unpaid and organizations we work with understand that they need to provide “real” work experience that will benefit the intern.
