Do you recommend bringing a laptop?

What clothing do you recommend bringing for inside and outside the classroom or for a job interview after course completion? Thank you

Yes, I would recommend bringing a laptop. This allows you to have flexibility in terms of when and where you do your work. There is a functioning computer lab, but it gets very hot in there!

In terms of clothing, it is VERY HOT in Manuel Antonio. You might have air conditioning in your classroom, but a lot of times you'll be out with a fan. Bring casual professional clothing that does well in the heat. Have fun!

I would definitely recommend bringing a laptop! It really comes in handy for writing the assigned papers, planning lessons, and keeping in touch with friends and family back home. However, my computer display broke after one week there, so I'm here to say that it is possible to get by without one too! Maximo Nivel has a small computer lab for student use, but they have lots of students that want to use them, so sometimes there's a wait. Laptops are definitely the more convenient alternative!

Let me know if I can be of any more assistance!

A laptop is a must! I used it for all my class work and I had wifi at my host families house so I used it to watch Netflix and Skype with my family.

As far as clothing, Manuel Antonio is crazy hot and humid, and super casual. I'd bring lots of hot weather clothes, and comfortable walking shoes. The Capitol is much cooler than the coast though so if you plan to work inland it's cooler.

Yes, I would recommend bringing a laptop. You don't need to rely on their computers then. You will be in the classroom during the day, and will be given homework so you'll have more flexibility to complete it outside of Maximo Nivel, especially for the final week when you'll be producing lesson plans.

In terms of clothing, it will be hot so it's advisable to wear comfortable clothes. When you deliver lessons in the final week you'll need to look relatively professional though. For this, I wore three quarter trouser and a smartish shirt but no tie. Hope this helps.

I would definitely recommend a laptop. You'll need it to work on assignments and lesson plans out of class. The building can get pretty hot, so being able to relocate to cooler locations is a must.

Regarding clothes, I wore decent shorts and collared shirts for the classes. For interviews, I would recommend something more business casual.
