How much money should I bring?

With the understanding that more is always better, what is a realistic amount of money one should have in reserve when coming to Costa Rica with the purpose of finishing training, and obtaining a job?
The amount of money to start up should be at least 2 months living expenses as it takes a few weeks to get a job and start, then you get paid typically once a month. It's always wise to bring more than you think, many people spend more during their first month than average going out to dinner, traveling etc.
