What is the average age of volunteers?

I am planning to head to NZ for a month starting in December. I am looking for volunteer work and was wondering what the average age of volunteers is?

The ages of PD participants range from 18 to 25 usually. On my trip, 18 was the most common age, but it definitely depends on each group! Regardless of your age though, most participants go into the trip with an open mind, looking to meet other like-minded peers.
My trip was also ranging between 18-22 years old. Most of the people were 18, but I was 22 at the time, done with college, and was the oldest besides the trip leaders. I wasn't bothered by this though because it was still awesome to hang out with such outgoing and motivated people!
When I went, and based on conversations I had with my group leader, the age range is from 18-22 (normal college age) with the majority of the kids being recent high school graduates taking a gap year. Please let me know if I can be of more assistance!
