WAS Marketing and Media Manager

What person active in social media wouldn't like to have great pictures and videos in their grid? Nowadays is really helpful to have any Marketing knowledge, either if you have a business and need to communicate appropriately or if you want to improve your social media accounts. They teach you from the basics of marketing to how to edit photos and videos. How far can you go with this program? After finishing the Marketing and Media Manager program, my partner and I started a side-hustle (@maria.collars on Instagram) by taking advantage of the knowledge earned.

WAS Marketing and Media Manager

As a Graphic Designer, I'm always involved in communication and marketing projects without knowing much about the field. After finishing the program, I started a side-hustle here in Whistler using much of the knowledge earned. It was a perfect starting point as they teach you from the basics to organizing a branded event or managing social media. Also, I really enjoyed the Photo and Video courses; imagine that your class is at the ski or bike resort or in the middle of the woods. It is the perfect location to learn photography and videography if you want a great Instagram profile.

Exciting place to study with interesting courses

I love studying on the marketing, media management course at WAS. It’s so easy to get relevant experience and exposure to the industry living in such a thriving town. There’s not many places in the world I’d rather take a photography course or learn and assist with events. The school has been extremely supportive to me and feels like a community. Iv made good friends at the school and everyone shares similar interests. The facilities are good and the class sizes are too big! I’d highly recommend WAS! The teachers have a wealth of experience so it’s easy to network and get co:op work which is a good step into the industry of marketing and media management. A real mix of people from all around the world on the course makes it a fun place to learn.

What was the most surprising thing you saw or did?
Not only being able to study and get my academic courses through WAS but with such a flexible schedule living in the mountains I was able to learn to snowboard at the same time.
