About Program
Rice in India is an innovative 6-week intensive Hindi language and intercultural communication summer program.
This program aims to build students’ intercultural communication ability through active, critical language awareness and language use in its natural sociocultural context. The program maximizes students’ opportunities to interact with local people through community engagement, language partners, and cultural excursions.
Furthermore, in order to develop their own understanding of how to interact with native speakers, students will gather empirical language data and analyze it in the classroom to identify discursive and cultural patterns of communication.

The economic growth and substantial changes to the infrastructure have made it possible for many cities to grow as travel destinations. Exploring India is inexpensive but rich in culture with big ticket attractions like the Taj Mahal to the taken-for-granted geography of the mountains, deserts, and beaches.
