About Program

The Climate Change Mitigation and Tree Planting in Kenya program is a study abroad opportunity for students pursuing environmental, sustainability, or community-related studies. The program is designed to provide students with an immersive learning experience focused on mitigating climate change while engaging in tree planting activities in Kenya.

Program Objectives:

To expose students to the realities of climate change and its impact on communities in Kenya
To provide students with practical skills and knowledge on climate change mitigation strategies
To engage students in tree planting activities and empower them to take action in mitigating climate change
To promote cross-cultural exchange and understanding between students and communities in Kenya

Week 1: Virtual orientation and Environmental Education curriculum
Week 2: Visits to local project schools and communities
Week 3: Tree Planting Activities and Fieldwork
Week 4: Reflection and Cultural Exchange
