PUERTO RICO PROJECT SAMPLE ITINERARY
Day 1
- Arrive San Juan Luis Munoz Marin International Airport, met by volunteer coordinator
Day 2
- Breakfast at lodging site
- Local Ecosystem Orientation at Cabeza de San Juan Environmental Preserve
- Lunch at Lighthouse
- Conservation Project at Cabezas de San Juan
Day 3 and 4
- Breakfast at lodging site,pack lunch
- Ecosystem restoration projects
- Projects on environmental preserves and in El Yunque Forest
- Dinner at lodging site
Day 5 and 6
- Breakfast at lodging. pack lunch
- Projects with Boys and Girls Club of Puerto Rico. Volunteers will complete projects to improve the facility in the morning and work directly with youth in the afternoon helping with homework, assisting with recreational activities, and helping youth practice speaking English. Volunteers will also do an environmental education activity on both days.
