About Program
We can offer you a great experience when following your Internship or volunteering in South Africa. You can also improve your language skills, explore new cultures, volunteer on a Fair Trade Tourism base and increase your confidence and independence.
Why GAP Africa? We are not only offering Internships, but a whole experience! With us you can alsofollow a professional course; like a language- art- and/or sport course. We can arrange excursions and weekend trips for you. Which means you can create your own ‘gap puzzle’. It’s all up to you!
Some of the organizations you can work with:
- Community Projects: local community, local pottery, organisation that works with refugees or work with teenagers in prison.
- Wildlife conservation projects: work at a game reserve or marine conservation organisation.
- Sports project: football community project
- Child care projects: Day Care center, play therapy at a hospital, safe house or early childhood development organisation.
Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger.
