About Program

Volunteer in the Elephant Project in Surin, Thailand, if you are an animal lover and have the desire to do something noble for the gentle beasts.

Surin, known as the elephant province of Thailand, is where elephants are used to carry loads and for tourist attraction. But as the elephants grow older, the owners cannot take care of them, as elephants are voracious eaters and maintenance costs are very high. So they are sold off to new owners who make them stand out into the hot sun in urban areas to beg money for elephant’s survival. New Hope partners with the local Non profit organizations working for animal welfare to offer volunteers a wonderful chance to learn about elephants. Volunteers will help to take care of these elephants by preparing food, feeding, bathing and walking elephants and cleaning enclosures.

Befriend elephants and be remembered as a kind hearted human being. It will be a lifetime, rare opportunity and experience worth remembering and sharing.
