Internship in Colombia

My time in Colombia was hands-down one of the most memorable and relevant experiences in my life today. This was not only because of the incredibly helpful and supportive communications with the Intern Group staff, prior to my departure as well as throughout my stay. But also, the exciting and enriching internship I was placed in for my time there. I believe that the internship was truly a great match for me personally. My experience overall has guided both my goals and future growth.
Medellin in itself is beautiful and thriving with culture. The environment I was in played a huge role in my level of enjoyment and appreciation during the six weeks I was there. Prior to my departure, I was a little nervous. Although I had travelled before with my family, and done a volunteer program abroad, I was not familiar with Colombia, the people and was not sure what to expect. Nevertheless, I was pleasantly surprised and am undeniably grateful for having had this opportunity.
