came for the experience, stayed for the diving, extended for the environment

although i'm quite environmentally engaged in my life at home, the reasons to participate weren't as altruistic: seeking experience and increasing my diving skills. i got what i wanted, but way more than that. besides offering dive courses with great teachers (i did rescue diver + specialty courses scientific diver + shark aware), they included me in to their research process under water as well as on the surface. it is very structured, and the team here is trying to make a difference on every possible frontier. in a fun, but also very informative way, i learned a lot from the scientists about mareen life, ecosystems, human impact, and possible solutions. i extended my time to give something back after feeling it to be more beneficial to me
