Life-Changing Experience

I participated in the program after graduating from university in May 2012. It was an amazing experience to say the least. I was given opportunities that most recent undergraduates could not dream of imaging. Before India I interned with several international organizations in the U.S. However, I always felt like I was getting a very narrow margin of the global picture. After my time in India, I feel like I have a clearer picture of the current global economic market and the future role of Asia.

On a daily basis I was able to learn from and work alongside some of the major players of the Indian fashion world. As an active team member of a highly successful multinational corporation I was given an insight into the uniqueness of the Indian fashion industry, while at the same time expanding my understanding of international business and commerce.

Through weekly lectures we were given the ability to interact with leaders from various fields and industries. For example, one week we talked with a representative from the UN and the next week we met with one of the top officials from the World Wildlife Fund. Although I left India six months ago, the number of contacts and connections made during my summer abroad will be extremely beneficial to my future career.
