I was so looking forward to going on this project after i had visited the open day.
We were told that we would be part of a team that was helping to collect data on the marine environment that would make a difference.
On arrival we were met at the airport fine and greeted well.
On meating the other "volenteers" using that term loosley as the other people all seemd to be there for a medical holiday and were not interested in the conservation aspect of the project at all.
On camp, while the medical volenteers learned to dive and had fun we were made to build our own accomadtion as the place was having a re structure which we were not told when we signed up! While this was fun and everything it diddnt seem fair that the non medics on camp were made to do this as we were also paying vols too.
The food was horrendous not enough to sustain any one on and the cooking facitlitys were dirty and unkept.
I was also unhappy with the diving side of the project, much of the equiptment given to us was old and had leaks or somtimes broke which was very diconserting !
The leaders on camp acted as if they had been there there whole lives and knew everything about the place when you only had to talk to the locals to find out they diddnt get along with the local community.

Very dissapointing and a waste of the best part of 5 grand.

I worked out for the same price you could stay in a real resort with dive training for around the same ammount of time and would still come out with some money to spair!

Would you recommend this program?
No, I would not
