I loved Ubud, Bali!

I traveled to the island of Bali in Indonesia to volunteer with IVHQ. The experience was wonderful. Each staff member at our location in Ubud was helpful and kind. I was able to participate in an introductory week, where I had the opportunity to participate in cultural activities. My location was in a village, which was wonderful for the cultural experience, but in the future, I would like to try to stay in a location that is closer to the main town, just for ease of getting to activities and seeing sights. A free shuttle service is provided by the on-site team going into town 4 days per week, so this was helpful. I had a wonderful time volunteering as a teacher at a local kindergarten, while the students happened to be preparing for end-of-year ceremonies, which is in alignment with my career in education and the performing arts.
