Sea Turtle Conservation Volunteering

I volunteered in Bali for 4 weeks. I did a week long orientation in Ubud where I got to learn more about the local culture and language, and got to visit some cool sites like the monkey forest and holy water temple. I then went to Nusa Penida where I volunteered with the sea turtle conservation center for 3 weeks. The staff was amazing - very kind and informative, I got a lot of hands-on experience with the turtles, and got to participate in various conservation efforts like beach clean-ups. I had an awesome time there and was not ready to leave! This project is great for solo travelers and those who like being outside and aren't afraid to get their hands dirty. Highly recommend!
