Grandma teaches healthcare in Bali

My experience with volunteering in Bali was fantastic. From the initial application process through until my departure from Green Lion.

Ella, the woman with whom I corresponded while still at home was super helpful, responsive and encouraging. The staff in Bali were the same. They were very welcoming, understanding and educational.

As the oldest volunteer, a grandma myself, I met incredible participants, most in the young twenties, that were very accepting of me and willing to let me tag along to extra activities with them, which I really appreciated.

My co-teacher had been there a week already when I arrived and was very happy to have the help, as I was excited to jump in.

The kids were super fun. Very excited to learn and get to know us and help us learn about their lives and culture. We taught them healthcare and English and they taught us some new games and let us taste test some of their snacks.

Overall, I would highly suggest the program, It was incredibly well organized, well thought out and provided me with a nice balance between free time and work time.
