JUST DO IT!

From the time that I first heard about IVHQ— I felt like it was destiny. Being my first solo female volunteer trip, I was definitely scared. Though the entire process of planning helped relieve so many nerves. Any questions I raised— a member of IVHQ was quick to respond (which I had a lot of questions…) upon landing in Bali, the airport pickup option went so smoothly& I was safely transported to the volunteer center where I met some of the most amazing people that I will cherish for life. I chose to do the introduction week— and I’m SO SO thankful I did. This truly submersed me in Balinese culture& gave me a taste of the mainland Bali before heading to Nusa Penida for 2 weeks for my sea turtle conservation volunteer program. Within Nusa Penida, there were many options to explore the island outside of the volunteer opportunity.

At my volunteer accommodation— the staff, fellow volunteers, bedroom, bathroom, food, everything exceeded my expectations. The staff is so welcoming and knew my name the second time I said hello! There are so many volunteers who have common interests as you who you are able to connect with and grow. The turtles were absolutely amazing. I can not feel more blessed to have such an incredible experience impact my life as much as this did!
