What is your favorite travel memory?
Recently I visited Jordan. It is one of the most incredible journeys that I've made to date. From floating on in the dead sea, to visiting the amazing ruins in Jerash and Petra and sleeping in tents in the beautiful desert of Wadi Rum: history, culture and nature - Jordan has it all!! And Jordanians are incredibly warm and hospitable. I would go back tomorrow.
Which destination is most underrated? Conversely, which is most overrated?
Oh that's too hard! Growing up in Adelaide, South Australia - I am one to recommend visiting the less well-known cities in a country. However, after living in Paris I just have to say - this city is not overrated - Paris never disappoints!
What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?
The integrity of the service/product.
How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?
I found my home in the world!
What unique qualities does your company possess?
The American University of Paris has a truly open and diverse culture. AUP is a place where staff and students claim at least two cultural identities and where learning from difference is our daily experience. We are a global community that truly works together to build one of the most unique learning spaces in the world.
What is the best story you've heard from a return student?
I'm a huge fan of welcoming the alumni of The American University of Paris back on campus. I have always travelled a lot as a part of my job and I've met AUP graduates in every country - in Norway, China, United Arab Emirates, Australia. But welcoming them to our Summer session back in Paris is a great treat. I remember a father coming with his daughter - I love having different generations of our global community on campus at the same time!
