I chose that program because Italy was a place that I had always dreamt of going to and it was a perfect length for my first solo trip without my parents. It was filled with activities I would enjoy and it just seemed to click once I looked into it.

Why did you choose this program?
What did your program provider assist you with, and what did you have to organize on your own?
The company, TFT, organized everything from the point that I arrived at the airport. I didn't have to worry about food or accommodation -- most meals were provided.
We needed to book our flights separately from the cost of the trip but there was a group flight option that I chose to take advantage of.
What is one piece of advice you'd give to someone going on your program?
I wish I had reached out to others going on the trip so that I could have known them better during the short time we had together. I wish I had practiced the language a bit more and been more comfortable and prepared a bit more to understand how the culture functioned.
Going into your experience abroad, what was your biggest fear, and how did you overcome it? How did your views on the issue change?
I had previously been abroad so there was no major fear for me in that sense. I was quite comfortable with traveling alone, being responsible for myself, and navigating a new world if that makes sense.
My fear level on going abroad was next to nothing due to the fact that I was going to be heading off to go to school in London a year later.
