What is your favorite travel memory?
My first experience with Intro Travel was as a customer on Bali Intro 2 years back. I hadn’t looked into it too much, having booked it on a whim after hearing amazing things about it from a friend.
Not looking into the itinerary meant I was in for some pretty special surprises along the way which made it even more exciting. The stand-out moment had to be up in beautiful Lovina, where we took an early morning boat trip alongside hundreds of wild dolphins. Unforgettable!
How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?
Doing this job has given me a lot of perspective. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in the stress of the day-to-day, and over complicate life, when really, you just have to find what makes you happy and run with that.
When people come on these tours, they get to leave all their stress on the plane. A couple of weeks of just living in the moment, trying new experiences and having FUN, and they leave with a clear head, positive attitude and new outlook. More often than not, they start dreaming of the next place they want to visit and focus on making it happen. That’s what it’s all about.
I am inspired by each and every group I have, and that’s what reminds me of the importance of perspective.
If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?
I’d choose Vietnam Intro. This is an itinerary I HAVE looked at. Everything about this trip looks incredible. There is such a variety of locations and some truly unique activities in each – bare handed fishing, staying overnight on an island in Halong Bay, sea kayaking, cycling through Ninh Binh, exploring the Chu Chi tunnels. The videos and photos look unreal, and I’ve learnt how photos never do a place justice, so I know I am in for a treat when I eventually get there!
What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?
We are not only here to make sure that you have THE MOST amazing time during the tour. As group leaders, we will sit with each and every person in our group and make sure you’re totally happy with your onward travel plans. Whether this is simply a taxi back to the airport, or 6 months of exploring with no clue where to begin, we are here to take all the stress out of your trip.
It makes me so proud talking with other leaders when we have helped people realize how doable it is to travel.
We have seen people come to us with no intentions of travelling beyond the tour, but who have fallen in love with the travelling experience and gone on to have huge adventures.
Helping plan these adventures and then following their journeys on social media is so rewarding.
What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?
Listening to your customers. I have been so impressed to see how the feedback we get from our customers is processed, and how we use that to continually improve our tours.
Everyone at Intro Travel started with that first step into the unknown, boarding a plane somewhere brand new not knowing what to expect. We always put ourselves in the shoes of the people in our group, and I think that makes all the difference.
