What is your favorite travel memory?
After a number of years working with Blue Corner Dive I was able to start to travel and explore some of the great diving in Indonesia. I was invited on a live aboard trip to see Whalesharks in Cenderwashi Bay. The trip was a complete surprise to me until we got to the airport. What a magical surprise and opportunity to be on a boat, exploring some of the fantastic diving my country has to offer.
How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?
I enjoy diving here in the area and will show all of his guests the large pelagics as well as some of the smaller critters on the reef.
I started out as a PADI Divemaster, after some time Made worked diligently to become a PADI Instructor and assistant manager of Blue Corner Dive, after years of dedication and continuous learning I earned his way up the PADI ladder from Divemaster to Instructor to IDC Staff to Master Instructor and finally PADI Course director.
I now work full time on the IDC Lembongan Programs at Blue Corner Dive and hold the highest rating within the PADI system of Platinum Course Director.
What is the best story you've heard from a return student?
I love having our students return to do more courses with us or more fun diving. We have a great team of instructors and divers that attract people to coming back and visiting us. I think what impresses and surprises our guests is that there is always one or two or ALL of the staff who remember you and remember your name.
If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?
The answer is obvious... I would do my instructor course again with Blue Corner Dive. During the course you learn so much and the friendships that are established during the course are life long. I am still friends with the people that I did my IDC with. The journey during the IDC is intense and the friendships gained are an undeniably strong bond.
What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?
Blue Corner works hard to support and develop the local community has has gained a positive relationship with the people of Nusa Lembongan. I am proud to work for a company that values the local people. As a company Blue Corner Dive respects the local community, local religion and promotes environmental programs to protect our reef and our fish.
What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?
Blue Corner Dive has always been a family. No matter how busy or slow we are we have remained a family first company where Blue Corner Dive values its employees and their families above all else. Blue Corner Dive values our service and promotes employees in house and has many opportunities for personal and professional growth.
