Greenhill YMCA

Working in Greenhill is just something amazing that everybody should have done at least one in his life. The staff, the site, the activities, absolutely all the environment that you're working in is made for you and for your improvement. You just evaluate and perform in the best atmosphere ever, from the training to the real session with the kids. Everybody trust you at any time and allow you to do a lot of different thing to improve again yourself and the site all the time.

Im a volunteer from New York, I came through Lattitude Global Volunteering to this programme, though you don't need a sending organisation. Greenhill is a great opportunity for you to hone in on leadership skills as well as technical skills such as climbing. It is a tight knit family, you receive any and all support that you need. At first it was not what I expected but it's absolutely class. I've made friendships I intend to keep for a lifetime, experienced all different cultures as our volunteer team is international. We have so many opportunities to do things such as trips to different parts of Ireland, trad climbing, indoor climbing, go karting, trampoline park, ice skating, and more. Everyone is so friendly so you'll have no problem making friends. As we finish up at 4:30 pm most of the time, we can go out socialising or even go for a hike or even the movies. There is also plenty of opportunities for you to take holidays and go to other parts of Europe. I have enjoyed this experience so much that I have decided to stay longer. You would definatley not regret your experience here!
