Ocean Alliance Project
Why choose Ocean Alliance Project?
The Ocean Alliance Project is monitoring the long-term effects of climate change on the ecological dynamics of Hawaiian coral reefs, with an aim to protect and preserve the marine biodiversity surrounding the Hawaiian Islands. The Restore with Resilience Initiative aims to restore coral reefs in Hawaiʻi using selective propagation of local, thermally resistant stocks to enhance future reef resilience, leading to the protection of our coastlines and conservation of these dynamic ecosystems. Joining our team gives each student and intern the opportunity to learn how to operate as a conservation diver and assist with these novel restoration projects.
