I am a U.S citizen. Would I be able to live in Korea for a year to learn Korean without having a job?

It’s very much possible if you save a lot before you go ! And also I’m sure you’d need a visa to stay that long .

Hi Sonny! Through our Academic Semester Abroad we will help you get set up with classes and accommodations for 6th months - this is currently the longest program we offer in South Korea. It's a great way to make a lot of progress in the language while also exploring the culture. You will not need a job to participate! Give us a call at 1-800-992-1892 or email ILS@ef.com to connect with a Study Abroad Advisor who can tell you more!
