While teaching English, do you still get to practice your French language skills often?

Definitely! I used French often when trying to explain something, if it was a little tricky for them to understand in English. Plus, a lot of the casual conversations were in French, so I got to practise very often.

Yes you still get to practice your French because most of the time that is what the family will be speaking over dinner or other meals.

Yes! I think it depends on what family you are placed with but mine was really good about conversing with me in both English and French. If I was having trouble expressing something in French we would switch to English or speak in French during dinner so I could learn how to jump into French conversations.
