About Program

The Leir Luxembourg Program-Clark University (LLP-CU) was founded to honor Dr. h.c. Leir's wish that Clark students and faculty deepen relationships with Luxembourg, the country that gave him safe haven at the outset of World War II. In order to contribute to Mr. Leir's vision regarding the importance of education and international experience, the LLP-CU has developed the following program elements:

The May Term Program in Luxembourg
Summer Research in Luxembourg
Summer Research with the Luxembourg-American Cultural Center in Belgium WI
Yearlong Ph.D. Research Internship in Luxembourg (currently inactive; under review)
The Henry J. and Erna D. Leir Lecture at Clark University
Faculty Conferences or Workshops in Luxembourg
The Henry J. and Erna D. Leir High School Initiatives
