About Program

Simpson College offers students the chance to study abroad in Tahiti for the Spring term in 2012. The program is based out of the University of French Polynesia (UPF) in Tahiti, with Professor Ron Warnet as the faculty director leading the program. Tahiti has an interesting heritage that still shows through today, like it's French colonial background and Polynesian roots.

The South Pacific island is a rich setting for students to thrive in culturally, with its influence from both Western and non-Western traditions. Studies revolve around a French-for-foreigners course, an Introduction to Polynesian Culture and Tahitian Language course, and a reflection course taught by Professor Warnet. Check out Simpson College's website for more information on this exciting program in Tahiti right now!
