Zoe’s teach abroad review

I had an amazing time with the interns and the experience I got to teach abroad. Through this experience I explored more of Hong Kong and more of my teaching experiences. I got a chance to test things I have never done before and also explore my own teaching boundaries. Throughout I also received help along the way before I got to Hong Kong which made the process much easier. This was an amazing experience overall and received lots of help through the process. Would join if you want to explore opportunities.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
Doing the hiking was the most out of the ordinary adventure I have done. We overcame it by working together and encouraging words through the way!

Really helpful company with a personable approach in helping you move and teach abroad!

The company helped me throughout the entire process starting from the interview stage up to and throughout my entire time spent teaching in Hong Kong. They make sure you settle well in your new environment, check up on you and with the school regularly to ensure work is going well and you are enjoying your role. I felt like team based in HK was easy to approach about anything! Another good point to add is that they organised regular events (boat parties, lunches, escape rooms) for free for teachers. Although I didn't make it to all of them, the ones I did attend were great fun and it was nice to meet the other teachers!

Pros
  • Ongoing support
  • Good holidays
  • Regular social events
Cons
  • Cost of living slightly higher than Europe

Teach abroad

Teaching abroad is a great way to meet new people and push past your comfort zone. Help and support is always available and the expat community in Hong Kong has been great. If I ever have any questions or worries, I can easily find the answer from the people around me. You definitely don’t feel alone. As someone who wanted to combine travel and employment, teaching abroad is perfect and I would highly recommend. There is always something fun to do after work and on weekends. Meeting like minded people is also a bonus!

Pros
  • Meet new people
  • Push out of your comfort zone
  • New skills for life

Experior Asia

Thanks to Experior I have upgraded my teaching career to a whole new & brighter level. This agency truly cares about their teachers who they recruit and fully support them.
They reached out to me via LinkedIn and set up an interview instantly. Communication was very professional and easy. Thanks to their efficiency, shortly, I landed a job at a very prestigious kindergarten in Hong Kong, which is a very exciting city and if you haven't been here you should definitely visit and get your dream teaching job with the help of Ian and his team.
Thank You, Experior Asia!

A Happy Teacher:)

Wonderful Recruitment Service

I think Experior Asia is a one-of-a-kind recruitment service that not only doesn't require you to pay but also negotiates a good wage on your behalf. The recruiters were very helpful with any questions and worried I had before heading to Hong Kong and were very welcoming when I arrived. It was nice to know I had people I could always turn to if I had any issues. The social activities varied so that there was always something for everyone to do and you meet teachers with completely different experiences to you. The company always provided information regarding regulation changes in Hong Kong and sent regular messages so we knew they were there if we needed them. I can't fault them at all!

Pros
  • Supportive recruiters - continuously check in on you
  • Social activities so you can feel part of a community
  • Good negotiations for pay in comparison to others I heard about
