About Program
ITTT’s Guatemala TEFL course takes place in the wonderful city of La Antigua. Our training center is located in a historic colonial building with classrooms overlooking a central garden. From our covered patio you can look out over the amazing landscape that surrounds La Antigua with the impressive conical Agua volcano in the distance. The city is home to a number of restaurants, bars and shops and in the surrounding villages you will find local handicraft markets selling their wares.
The TEFL course covers all you will need to gain an understanding of how to teach English as a foreign language with instruction in grammar, methodology, lesson planning and plenty of practical classroom experience. On graduation you will receive an internationally recognized teaching certificate and lifetime jobs guidance.

Location
Antigua was the capital of Guatemala prior to a major earthquake that left most of the city in ruins. Guatemala city then became the capital, and Antigua city returned into a small town until the whole city was deemed a UNESCO world heritage site. Attractions include monuments and buildings, as they preserve Guatemala's historical beauty and showcase the Spanish influence in the area.
