Volunteer with Australian Bush Conservation Safari
- Australia
- Cairns
About Program
Volunteer in the Aussie bush all while discovering unique landscapes such as dry savannahs, swampy wetlands and endless forests of eucalypts.
Volunteers work among a pristine and important wetlands reserve which is the center of a conservation initiative focusing on the preservation of wildlife and ecological communities, cultural heritage and community well being.
Volunteers can expect to contribute to tasks that aim to conserve endangered species and protected habitats. With a diverse set of tasks to participate in, no day will be the same for the project's duration. Volunteers will monitor habitats, assist in research on wildlife, enter important data necessary for the management of the reserve, construct and maintain animal pens. If there are animals in facility, volunteers can assist in their care and rehabilitation until the eventual release of the animals. All this while experiencing some of Australia's beautiful outback.
