About Program
Who are we looking for?
People who can speak English, have good knowledge of the language (you don't have to be natives, experts nor professional teachers) and can help us improve the quality of life of youngsters living in remote rural areas of Colombia, by providing weekly English tutoring online sessions to around 2 to 3 students. You can be located anywhere in the world and must be at least 18.
Why?
These youngsters have been very affected by the pandemic; education before was not good, but now they only receive some booklets that they have to fill out and then send back to the school. This is no way of learning a new language, and one can really tell by the low English level among them.
Time commitment per week: We are all volunteers who help with at least 1 English tutoring session of 90 minutes per week, so we'd expect the same from you.
Duration: A minimum 3-month commitment. We can, however, talk about it and adjust it to your specific schedule
