IDEX Asia offers a volunteer and travel program in Goa, India, where participants can have loads of fun by attending cultural workshops and interacting with travelers and with locals. Goa attracts more travelers than any other location in India. Beautiful sandy beaches and influence of Portuguese culture makes Goa a magnet for tourists. Young travelers specially find Goa interesting because of the vast array of activities it can offer. IDEX in Goa is located in South Goa, near the Majorda Beach. Goa Beach Volunteer

Coming to India for the first time, IDEX Goa was the first stop on our trip. It has been a very warm welcome to India and i cant wait to travel the rest of the country. The Fisherman School project where i was placed has been the best experience i could have asked for. The children are amazing and are so keen to learn. I feel the project is very beneficial for the children as they do not attend school. The executive, Beverley has been the greatest help to work along side with. She has such passion for teaching the kids there.
The staff here are very friendly and helpful. The accommodation is comfortable and the food is great. I have met some great people and had a lovely time!

What would you improve about this program?
I feel that the teaching at Monte Hill computer class was quite hard for me as the children already went to school and knew most of the material that was being taught.
The itinerary explained to new members when they arrive, should be more detailed as when we arrived we weren't sure what we were doing and had to be told by other camp members.
