Tiger Tops Elephant Welfare Volunteer Program

About Program
The Tiger Tops group of companies is the pioneer of environmentally responsible and sustainable tourism practices on the Indian subcontinent. We have partnered with Responsible Tourism Trust, a Nepali non-profit organization we initiated but now operates independently, to launch our first Tiger Tops Elephant Welfare Volunteer Program at Tharu Lodge, which is dedicated solely to supporting the welfare of the 12 elephants under our care.
The goal of our program is to involve committed volunteers to ensure elephant welfare through husbandry, maintenance and improvement of the elephant camp, and fundraising and education through social media. All the program fees, labor, and fundraising efforts go directly to projects, efforts, and resources that impact the day-to-day living conditions of our elephants.

Program Impact
As a volunteer, you will be directly contributing to the welfare of our 12 elephants by joining our commitment to ensure that our elephants have the highest quality of life. You will be cleaning, maintaining and expanding state of the art corrals and elephant camp structures, creating enrichments, building shelters, water fountains, and dirt mounds, and harvesting and preparing food for the elephants. You will also help to create and boost our fundraising campaigns through social media content with all proceeds funneled directly towards elephant welfare needs. You will be a representative for Tiger Tops, educating guests about our elephant welfare projects.
