No, I don't recommend this program

Felt like a scam

I went on this trip with a few of my friends from a local leadership club. We were there to help out and be with the community lots. Those were the two things we didn't do a lot of. I imagined we'd be with the kids and they'd help us with what we were building, but sadly we were limited to one hour of interaction with the community we were building for. Overall the experience was good, I just felt we got scammed, as the facilitators and staff were always hiding stuff from us.

Response from ME to WE

Dear Morgan,

Thank you very much for your review. While disappointed to hear your experience was not all that you hoped, we appreciate all feedback and will look into your concerns immediately. We invite you to email us directly with your specific trip name and any additional details so that we can get a better understanding of your experience on the ground. Please email Nora Griffiths, our Director of School Engagement, at nora@metowe.com.

Our Nicaragua trips are very popular both for groups and individual youth and include a daily combination of volunteering or building activities, unique cultural experiences, and leadership modules designed to help participants understand the issues they see on the ground. For these reasons our trips are more than volunteer trips and are meant to help build global citizens.

We look forward to hearing from you Morgan. Thank you again for your feedback and for joining us on a Me to We Experience.
