About Program
Looking to stand out in medical school applications? Decide whether you really want to be a doctor? Gain experience in a health system different from your own? Do a medical rotation abroad? Our Clinical Medicine program is for you.
In the mornings, rotate in a variety of medical clinics and hospitals in Trujillo, on the northern coast of Peru. You'll have the opportunity to shadow physicians, observe surgical procedures, follow up with patients, rotate in the ER and participate in medical campaigns in the community.
In the afternoons, give talks about preventative health and after school programs for children, participate in medical skills classes and Spanish conversation class.
Our volunteers love our staff, who will work with you one-on-one to individualize your experience and be there to help with whatever you need. They can also organize extra activities like teaching a class at the university, a special rotation (dental, physical therapy) and more!
