About Program

Via Volunteers support ethical volunteer projects in South Africa that are developed through genuine community and conservation needs.
In the Cape Town area you can choose to work with children in a hospital or township environment, help to feed the homeless, rehabilitate endangered African penguins, care for rescued lions and other big cats, and contribute to the conservation of great white sharks.
Closer to Kruger, you can assist with elephant & rhino monitoring, care for a wide variety of snakes and other reptiles or join the team at a world leading primate centre.
Our experienced team is based in South Africa and provides every volunteer with unparalleled support and personal attention during their stay. Having an experienced and caring support base close at hand is a valuable benefit that has provided reassurance to all our volunteers, and their parents!
Volunteering with us is one of the most rewarding experiences you'll ever have!

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here.
