Casco Antiguo Spanish School

A great place to learn or improve your Spanish skills. They really focus on listening and verbal skills. By the end of my 5 weeks I had advanced significantly in comprehension and speaking.
There is much to see and do in the Casco Viejo area in addition to the after school activities organized by the school. The Amadore Causeway is a great place to watch ships enter/exit the canal. Rent a bike on Sundays and ride the Cinta Costera bike path. Also, Ubers are inexpensive, Overall a great educational and fun experience.

Fantastic School!

can't say enough good things about Casco Antiguo Spanish school! Our instructor was great! Everyone there was so nice and helpful all the time. The instruction was excellent, they have very small classes (only 2 in ours) so we received very personal instruction..and I loved that each day we walked to an activity during class to not only practice or Spanish but to learn more about the Panamanian culture. They also had great evening activities everyday for anyone that wanted to join in! ITruly, The best ever!

Wonderful Place to Learn Spanish!

I am so glad that I decided to enroll in a class at Casco Antiguo Spanish School. They provided such a safe and comfortable environment to learn Spanish. They have events every day of the week if you are looking for social activities to participate in. My teacher Massiel was fantastic, and even though I was very much a beginner, I improved a lot in the week that I was there. The school is also set in a beautiful and historic part of Panama City which served as the perfect backdrop for practicing Spanish outside the classroom. Recommend to anyone!

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
I was scared to come to class the first day since my prior knowledge of Spanish was almost non-existent, but as soon as I stepped through the doors at Casco Antiguo I felt so welcomed. Class started off with the basics and it was easy to begin picking it up.

Casco Antiguo - 5 stars

Friendly, professional lessons well-pitched to your level. importantly, they are challenging and you WILL see progress.

The teachers were able to diagnose the areas of my Spanish that needed work and tailored the lessons accordingly.

Super culture in the school with a commitment to events and learning beyond the classroom. These include sports, cycle rides, dancing and Happy Hour chats.

The loation is brillinat. You can step outside straight into bars and restaurants and start practising immediately :)

Highly recommended :)

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
Starta bit sooner :)

Spanish sensation!

We had a fantastic experience at Casco Spanish school. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. They made us feel welcome and answered any and all of our stupid questions whilst helping us practice our spanish. They also organized activities outside of school hours which was fun and a great chance to get to know the other students. Our teacher Rogelio was fantastic. He made the classes informative, fun and practical. He used a number of different methods to engage our learning and I feel that my Spanish improved ten-fold under his tutelage. Would recommend!

Loved every second!

My friend and I did a few lessons here to top up our Spanish skills after doing a week in a school in Guatemala and I preferred our time here! We ended up extending our lessons because we were learning so much

Rogelio was absolutely incredible. So fun but also so helpful and smart. But all the staff seemed so lovely. They offer extra activities as well if you wanted to get more involved which I love at any school

Loved our time at this school! Would recommend to anyone! Definitely worth doing whether you’re a beginner or helping along

Recommended!

My boyfriend and I took our first Spanish lessons at this school. Even though their advice was to both take private lessons (for the same price), we were allowed to take lessons together (our preference). We learned a lot in one week, but could have stayed much longer. Of course you cannot learn Spanish in one week, but for us it was a good way to start with the language and have a good base. We can now grow from there with our travels the next months. We also loved the extra activities that they offer like salsa lessons and bike tour. Mucho gracias Hector!

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
We would definitely stay longer the next time, to continue learning.

Perfect way to improve

I stayed in Panama for almost a month and studied at Casco Antiguo Spanish School for 3 weeks, which was a great experience.
Samuel was an amazing teacher who helped me improve on my Spanish thanks to themed conversations, outings in the old town, practical exercices and more. I saw improvements on my way to communicate in Spanish pretty quickly.
The rest of the team was always very helpful too when it came to visit recommendations in the city, things to do in Panama, in addition to cultural information that were very interesting.
